Established in 1982, a cruise on the Kuranda Riverboat will leave you relaxed and refreshed.  The calm waters of the beautiful upland Barron River in Kuranda provide great photographic opportunities whilst your skipper gives you an insight into some of the history of Kuranda, the ancient tropical rainforest and the animals, reptiles and birds that reside in this unique area of Tropical North Queensland.

Getting to Kuranda is easy by bus with Transnorth Bus Company, hire car, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or the Kuranda Scenic Railway.

Our 45 minute Wet Tropics rainforest cruises depart from our riverside jetty below the Kuranda Railway Station, over the railway footbridge and down the stairs.

The river is home to a host of wildlife including freshwater crocodiles (Crocodylus johnsoni or Crocodylus johnstoni), turtles, snakes, water dragons and fish, together with over 100 species of tropical birds.   Cassowaries are sometimes seen too on the far side of the river.  Our tours are suitable for all ages.  Children under 5 years of age are FREE of charge.

Purchase your ticket on the Kuranda Riverboat with cash or pay
online by Credit Card.  Cash ONLY is accepted on the boat to save time and to make sure that each tour departs on time.
